Well, I'm a woman and a Democrat, so I'll be voting for HRC.
While I admire Obama's vision of elevating the level of discourse in Washington, ending the partisan bickering, and working across the aisle to actually make positive changes in this country, I will be voting for HRC because of her courageous positions on being a woman and being a Clinton.
-
ANON: That is not enough...
expand your mind...liberated yourself from your gender bias.. explore the possibility of change...
You can do all and vote for HRC as the VP on the Obama ticket..

@Thrasher
Exactly the real issues are all about race and gender. We don't need to create artificial ones.
So, go back to the real issues and everyone can find enough real and gender stuff and please, don't ask anyone to apologize, this whole public farce theater.
-
@ Stellaa
Thank you for making sense and pointing out the obvious. Great posts! Some here will probably shout "racist" just so they can get their allotted 100 senseless insults in for the day, but really, I hear you!

Please
Don't feed the trolls or hook into their insane diatribes. They beg and plead while baiting, then use language in the same way every time they post.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

If Clinton and Russert had been boxing on meet the press, the referee would have stopped the fight
I am astounded by your suggestion that Russert got the better of Hillary on Meet the Press yesterday. She repeatedly caught him truncating and distorting quotes, she did not let him bully her, she parried every one of his tawdry little gotcha moments, and she made substantive, damaging comments about Obama's failure to follow his anti-war speech with action in the years after that speech was made and the war began. As one blogger has already commented, it was Russert who looked despondent and beaten at the end of that hour. He met his match, and America met its future President.

Bob Johnson & the Hillbillies
Maybe your readers can answer -- but isn't this Johnson character the same Bob Johnson that George W uses as a race baitor?? If so, what's he doing with ole Hil & Bil, if ya know what I mean?? (wink, wink, elbow, elbow)
Now since Bill is so tight with Daddy, wouldn't he know that even if they gave him a script he wouldn't stick to it and doncha think he just might try to traverse the slippery slope that he is used to.
Is Hillary running or going to serve for the Democratic Party??

It's already a debate about race and gender!
Where have you been, Walter Shapiro? It's not the last few days that magically turned level-headed political debate into nasty finger pointing. It's been that way from the very beginning!

Go Stellaa!
Great comments..thanks! If anyone is interested in a candid conversation on race get a copy of Bill Moyers Journal from last friday...Moyers conversation with Shelby Steele was very good.
-
Stella: No one is inventing fictional issues race and gender are quite real..
White woman need to have a candid dialouge about being thier privledged status
Black woman need to have a candid dialouge about thier issues with white feminists
White males need to have a candid dialouge about being privledged
Black males need to have candid dialouge about always viewing whites males in a certain context......
I can go on and on, and on...

I watched the Shebly Steele it was pitiful observing Shelby spin his convoluted fiction..
about racism and related paradigms..
According to Shelby's own myopic paradigms it was either being a bargaineer or a confrontational. Shebly was almost silly with his design and framework of good negro/bad negro..
Shelby displayed a lot of envy that since his mother was white like Obama's how come he was not as sucessful and admired like Obama.
Shebly allowed Bill to invoke tired as terms like 'uncle tom' and 'race traitor' obsolete shit like that was depth of discourse on the show..
Because of Shebly's bi-racial dna he could not help but express his attiude that the white part of him was the role model part of him as with Obama he kept stressing his white mother made him great etc..
On a number of levels it was tragic observing a tired Black apologist like shebly steele allowed so much license to impart so much bullshit with such a fine host like Bill Moyers..

obama
Why are his youthful indiscretions not a part of the discourse. If he was sitting around partying while Bill and Hillary were working for equity why is that not an issue.
A man who capitalizes on his youth --well what kind of poor judgements would he make in his forties that a more seasoned individual would have the experience to avoid.
Also with regards to race why has no major media criticized the improper language used by both Michelle and Obama on the campaign trail. AIN'T is not a word and michelle has used it at least twice when addressing black audiances. Does she typically speak like this or is she pandering? If that is her normal way of speaking I sure as hell do not want her representing America.
I have never voted Republican in my life in fact i labored on phone banks for dukakis as i was concerned about appointments to the Supreme Court. However, Obama would never ever get my vote. The more Hillary is overly criticized in the press the more I move against Obama.

'makes ya holler and throw up both your hands...
whew after reading this post...
I am running to put on my marvin gaye.."what's going on"....mercy..mercy... mercy me...

negative campaigning
Obama has indulged in negative campaigning more than Clinton.

Re: Why is HRC comparing herself to LBJ?
As an Obama supporter, I believe that if Hillary Clinton wants to compare herself to the worst Democratic President this century, she's welcome to do so.
--Anonymous
I think you meant last century.
And I think you're not giving Woodrow Wilson enough credit.

contest gets rougher
I am so tired of the dishonest reporting by the media and the blogs.
The contest has become rougher because the Media adds a dry wind to the raging fires with little substance and takes the comments out of context.
Barack Obama's campaign trust also fuels the fire because they want and need the "Black vote."
In addition, Hillary's campaign managers should control unnecessary comments made by other people if that is possible.
Neither camp is innocent. but many want you to believe that everything we hear from Barack
Obama is Gospel truth. When he is in a black southern church, he certainly becomes more black than usual.
