hahaha, ya, we're the bigots
As for quoting Mosaic Law (that's the old testament kiddies) Jesus advises that the OT is there to keep people in line until His coming. Let's stop quoting Mosaic Law to Christian bash. IT is not logical...or kind.
For Jesus hath said, "If a man lies with another man while eating a ham and lobster sandwich, the lying with the man part is surely unholy and they shall be put to death. But the sandwich is totally cool."

Applying a double standard.
Holding people who don't even believe in your God to that religions standards while completely ignoring the parts that apply to you in the same book. Typical con!

Confusion in this discussion
There is a lot of confusion in this discussion.
I don't think there is anything wrong with a Christian being President of the US. I used to be one myself and continue to admire much of its art, architecture, and music.
We should also bear in mind that Western civilization's concerns with education and health care flow historically from the work of monasteries and convents, that the printing of the Bible was important in the spread of literacy, and so on.
What we do have a right to know is how religious beliefs may influence the future actions of the candidates.
Huckabee is a bit disingenuous in citing himself as an advocate of Golden Rule Christianity, because it is doubtful whether any of the other candidates, even Romney, or even atheists, would dissent from the principle of the Golden Rule.
The key points that define his type of Christianity is are literal belief in the Bible and belief in an apocalyptic end of the world.
All we want to know is how, if at all, his beliefs will effect his decision making when it comes to areas to like abortion, human health, the environment, the Middle East, nuclear war, scientific education etc.
A newspaper column I saw recently by Ann Coulter attacked the Huckster as a dangerous leftie. Absurd perhaps, but I suspect that he probably would be a pragmatist in office who just paid lip service to fundamentalist religious dogma.
Whether he has the intellectual capacity and curiosity to be a president who can provide leadership is quite another matter, and I suspect not.

Huckabee on Amazon
Although Huckabee's sermons are not available, he has written or coauthored several books, which you can find reviewed by readers on the Amazon Web site.
The impression one gets from these reviews is that the depth of Huckabee's thought hardly matches that of the other President and author, JFK, whose While England Slept and Profiles of Courage show a great deal more depth of thought, reading, and analysis.
Kids Who Kill: Confronting Our Culture of Violence
is one example of a Huckabee book. Hucks was governor of Arkansas when the Jonesboro school shooting took place, and apparently his remedy for such events is very much cast in terms of a return to conservative values, clean living etc., which is all very well, but probably too atavistic to offer a real program for government action.
One wonders whether his prescription for international relations will turn out to be equally simplistic.

but on the bright side
At least Huckabee has the intellectual fortitude to actually write a book. Which raises him to somewhere between George Bush and Ann Coulter. Goodness, what fun this man might be as a president.

re JFK
(Sorry for the flood of absent-minded letters)
It should also be noted that while JFK's thesis on Great Britain's policy of appeasement was well-written (and earned him his undergraduate degree from Harvard), it also fueled his early stance against the Soviets as something of a warhawk. It was only after the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis that Kennedy realized that nuclear diplomacy required far more subtlty and give-and-take than his thesis had allowed.
Even the ability to write and analyze history does not necessarily confer upon a person the ability to successfully engage in foreign relations. It's a good thing for the world that Kennedy turned out to be the most dovish member of his own administration.

More Re JFK
Yes, actually if you read Sorenson's biography of JFK, you could take the Bay of Pigs (BOP) as another example of a prez who was not experienced in management of foreign affairs being bulldozed into going along with something that was already in progress, since the Cuban contras had been in training in Guatemala for some time under the Eisenhower regime.
In management courses this (BOP) is cited as a classic example of the Abilene Paradox (going along with the program so as not to rock the boat). The important thing that came out of BOP was that Kennedy learned to make sure to listen to contrary opinions before acting, something that GWB would have done well to take on board.
Incidentally, I have often read that Sorenson ghosted Kennedy's Pulitzer Prize-winning Profiles in Courage, but in the biography (hagiography) Sorenson vigorously denies and refutes this, and in the text of the book refers to Kennedy several times as a Pulitzer prize-winning author.

It's not strange at all, Ann Coulter is a phony christian. It's as simple as that. Along with most other christians whose biggest concern is other people's sex lives. It's called distraction politics and the republicans are great at it. Get people to care about things that don't affect them so that they can screw them over in areas that do. Most churhces are in on it.

HICK-abee's FLYING LEAP INTO...THE LAKE!
Mike A-Huck HICK-abee should take a FLYING LEAP into the lake and see if GOD deigns him to be able to WALK UPON THE WATER! HICK-abee FEARS GOD LESS than he fears the voters SEEING HIM as HE REALLY IS, namely a WORTHLESS MEALY-MOUTHED HYPOCRITE who has DELUSIONS of GRANDEUR, the flames of which have been FANNED BY the BRAINLESS MENTALLY ILL-religious right, whose NONSENSICAL and LUDICROUS SUPPORT of this creep HICK-abee is both LAUGHABLE and HILARIOUS in the extreme! Knowing how these BRAINWASHED TWERPS of the MENTALLY ILL-religious right THINK or DON'T THINK(at least in the thought processes of ORDINARY humans), ANY CREEP like HICK-abee who SEEMS to EXTOL their CHERISHED BELIEFS and IDEALS, albeit on the SURFACE, is CONSIDERED WORTHY of their UNSTINTING SUPPORT, which is kinda like SMEARING YOURSELF WITH (Rush)LIMBURGER CHEESE, i.e., EXCREMENT, TO ATTRACT FLIES. Remember, you can catch more (VOTER)Flies with your smelly lying _hit than you can with the purer Honey, Eh Mike?
