I am growing increasingly tired of the Hillary Clinton myths that the media continues to propagate. There are three major myths that really get under my skin.
The first is that she is the candidate of experience. If not for the post 9/11 political landscape she almost certainly would have run in 2004. The Senate was always just a stepping stone for her, as opposed to Obama, who was practically drafted into running at this stage of his career.
The second myth is the "strong woman" thing. She wants to show that she is a tough, independent woman, but cries about the mean old boys when things get tough. And more importantly, she is running as the "experience" candidate based on her experience as Bill's sleeping partner. Most of her endorsements cite Bill's experience, not hers.
Lastly, is the electability myth. Hillary is probably the LEAST electable Democrat running. Republicans have an unfounded, irrational HATRED for the Clintons. The lackluster Republican candidates aren't going to inspire a right wing rush to the polls, while a Hillary nomination will. And if she wins, we all lose. Unfounded rumors will be lead stories after 8 years of the media ignoring blatant White House crime.
