...AND LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL....
We desperately need to replace every contemptable Representative who votes for continued funding of these Illegal Wars and Occupations, and who refuse, even in the face of mounds of evidence, to Impeach this Criminal President and Vice President. They are Traitors, War Criminals, Mass Murderers, and War Profiteers, unapoligetically in pursuit of World Domination and Theft of Oil Reserves, in cahoots with large multinationals and Criminal Elements inside the Israeli Government. They share a common interest of eliminating the "Arab Problem" once and for all. A "Final Solution", I think the Nazis called it, when they referred to eliminating all Jews from the face of the earth. And now we find some of these same people, attempting to do to others what they've decried and vowed the World to "Never Forget".
Just today, the Israeli Security Minister called the CIA report nothing but lies, when describing recent revolations that Iran had stopped it's pursuit of Nuke WMD some time ago.
This has angered the Bush/Cheney Crime Cartel also, who had to stop the countdown on their scheduled launch of "Operation Kill All the Iranians and Steal Their Oil, Too". (Little self appointed Potentates get testy when their plans for Mass Murder and Mayhem are put off due to reports like these.)
I look for some covert operatives to be outed and their families murdered very shortly now........
After all, it wouldn't due if Exxon Mobil showed up to start pumping crude and found the owners still in residence.

You seem to be saying, in so many words, "if you don't love it, leave it." This is the rallying cry for American Fascists like yourself who pine for the good old days (which never existed). This is my country doing this.I used to be proud to be an American.I still am,but it's getting much harder.Do not let the neocons villify just one man,George Bush as the sole cause of all the evil that has been inflicted upon this country and the whole world.Evil,that's what it is.There is no other word.And it's the whole mindset of the neocon, republican right that has brought us to this point.

I am most concerned about the worry that liberals perpetuate they the rest of the world hates us. Who really cares. When they need us they'll be here.
look the French, the Germans the Saudi's the Jordanians and the Lybians. the UAE, Dubai and Egypt are cuddling up becasue they are scared, despite the recent intelligence estimate. Even that microcephalic Assad of Syria sent a guy to the meeting in Annapolis.These folks are building their own anti ballistic missile systems perhaps with our or even Israeli help. They all may go nuclear. Why? the Mullahs in Tehran. They are scared.
So the Arab street hates us, the average Frechman hates us, the average Germant hates us yeah sure. They cetainly don't want us to leave our bases in Europe do they. When in danger they get close to us don't they? And the South Korean, they suer as hell want us to keep those 38K troops at the DMZ. They don't have it to man the DMZ all by themselves and yet they bitch at us.
I lived and worked in Europe. I know some of their educational institutions, I actually got an additional degree from one of them, I know their health care system.
I also know that many of the university kids whom I met really wished to come here, to work and live here or to go to one of our universities. MIT is tough to beat right?
Other than Switzerland I can't imagine an American wishing to live else where other than the very wealthy elites who crave Paris.

He Got a Second Degree in Europe
He MUST be really smart - give him a medal. And oh, so worldly, too. How would us 'liberals' be able to put things in perspective without this self-proclaimed expertise?
For a smart guy, you don't seem to have the slightest understanding of geopolitics.
As for 'hating us' - what utter drivel. Most people, at home and abroad, have the common sense to differentiate between governments out of control and the hapless masses who have absolutely no effect on them despite the endless and ad-nauseum claims of 'western democracy' - and this desite not having two degrees, one from overseas!
Of course, having a prestigious degree or two means nothing - look at GWB! Has a more unaware and corrupt daddy's boy ever managed to reach the presidency? At least Reagan was a grade B actor. These neo-cons have no shave shoving this guy down our thoats - and neither do the Dems who capitulated to it and have propped them up ever sense to this day.
The elites in other western countries ally with the US because they see it - at this moment in time - to be in their strategic and economic interests. Come the day it is not, watch out.
Read some history.. start with WW1, then move on to WW2. The present international situation should start sounding very familiar.

What shall we DO?
I knew that a witness must surface, and I have little doubt that corroboration will come from other victims soon. Thanks to the ACLU for bringing the documents to light, and thanks to Salon for bringing the story to its readers.
An important difference between Hitler's murders and those conducted on behalf of our present regime is that some brave people risked their lives to shelter and save others, even in the German homeland. (These men and women still are being located and honored as the "Righteous Among the Nations.")
What can WE do?
Since Bashmilah "laid out his story...to a U.S. District Court" on Friday, why is it not front-page news in either of the metropolitan dailies I read this morning? I think we must spread the word. I plan to email the Salon story to my Senators and Congressman, and to Senator Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. I hope that Salon editors will give their blessing for all of us to do this, and more as we think of what we can do.
There may be not much time. The illegalities grow. One of the papers on my doorstep this morning led with this headline: "Control sought on military lawyers," with the story revealing that the administration proposes to take control over promotions within the Judge Advocate General corps--the military's legal arm--where some of the uniformed attorneys "have repeatedly raised objections to the White House's policies toward prisoners in the war on terrorism." (The Boston Globe, 12/15, p. 1.)
Finally, this from "The Sayings of the Fathers": "The day is short, and the work is great, and the laborers are sluggish...It is not your duty to complete the work, but neither are you free to desist from it."
