  • The only candidate with character and integrity...

...doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting elected, which speaks volumes about where the United States is today, and where it is ultimately headed.

I don't agree with major aspects of what Ron Paul proposes, but I believe that he is the only person who might save us from ourselves...

  • "running a quixotic campaign"

Quixotic- foolishly impractical especially in the pursuit of ideals; especially : marked by rash lofty romantic ideas or extravagantly chivalrous action

Everyone else knows what a campaign means. So, with that I say, HEY SCHERER, FUCK YOU. And, while I'm at it, FUCK the REST OF THE SHILLS that push for a giuliani/clinton race. You see, what we have in this country is, at best, an oligarchy, and most Americans are SICK and TIRED of it.

No one has the courage to speak the truth like Ron Paul, and I love the guy for it. Same goes for Dennis Kucinich. While I don't agree with their positions all the time I sure do love their sincerity- something that Billary and Giuliani are devoid of.

The more people like Scherer slander Ron Paul, the more people like me will donate to his campaign. Keep it up asshole, because there are alot of us out there.

  • This article is a nice case study in the fundamental paradox of Ron Paul supporters:

Or, more broadly, the paradox of "libertarians" in general:

On the one hand, they can turn a free trade agreement into "oligarchy!", a tax-funded health care system into an "Orwellian superstate!", and generally regard any democratic state that actually exists today with extreme paranoia.

On the other hand, they can speak of their candidate-of-the-hour in adulatory, messianic terms that would have embarrassed a paid flatterer at the court of Versailles.

  • Not for sure

but isn't the Nov 5 thing celebrated in England as the day their system survived?

  • Honest Journalism

Thank you for honest journalism, if more news outlets expose ron pauls massive support more people would know that he indeed does have a shot at winning the primarys.... and hes the only demecrat running who can beat Hillary.

Ron Paul is the modern day founding father, and I would do anything to help this honest, strong and uncurruptable man.

    Tea Party 07!

Also Ron Paul people from all over I have commited that I will be wearing some kind of Ron Paul shirt every time im going out in public until the end of these primarys... Imagine if all of you did the same!

VOTE RON PAUL! RESTORE OUR COUNTRY!

  • Thank you

    Mr. Scherer,

Thank you for writing such a positive article about, and conducting a positive interview with, Ron Paul.

I am a resident of Louisiana and haven't voted in years. After all, what was the point? They are all the same.

I was a registered Democrat but went this week to change my registration to Republican so that I could vote for Ron Paul in the closed primary here. I never in a million years thought I would register as a Republican, but like so many others, Ron Paul's message has cured my apathy and I will be out there campaigning for him in this state.

And yes, I do understand every bit of his platform. I don't agree with all of it, but I know where he stands. I can live with the areas of disagreement because he is actually a man who means what he says and sticks to his guns. He is not just a rare man in Washington, he is one-of-a-kind.

He is the modern day Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

  • I live in NH and I would go door to door for Dr. Ron Paul

The reason why people love Ron Paul so much is because he is the only candidate that is not a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)is a private organization established to guide American politics to the way a few elite men think it should be. Ask yourself why does a private organization own the Federal Reserve? When the Federal Reserve was first put into place it caused the Great Depression. The CFR owns 25 of the most major medias. YouTube has some great videos on all of these subjects - CFR, Trilateral Commission, and the 'New World Order' quoted from Bush himself and written on your dollar bill (Norvis Ordo) in latin, means, new order. Get informed, Get mad and then help Ron Paul beat this huge monopoly that is destroying our country's sovereignty.

While your at it- contact your state Senator and tell them to vote NO on Act s.1959 An assult on freedom on speech. The Feds want to control the internet with this Act and it has already passed congress.

  • Yawn

    Anyone remember Ross Perot?

  • Ron Paul is a jelly doughnut

    or something like that.

You ignorant campaigners should LEARN TO READ and LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE when there's a sign on the door that says NO SOLICITING. This means you!

I live in Concord, NH and the idiots just won't go away. If you knock on my door I will make a point of NOT voting for your candidate.

Ron Paul is the logical next step: fascism followed by anarchy. After that we'll be the American Colonies of China.

  • Ron Paul, George and Ringo

Honestly, its hard to see the after effects of Ron Paul as being anything other than gangster rap.

  • Kucinich against Paul - That would be an interesting political race

Once and for all, America needs a real battle between the conservative and liberal perspective with a real choice for a change between people that are absolutely committed to their principles so the vote will be on the direction of the country and not on the personality of the candidate. They're both odd enough to not win on charisma alone. I don't agree with either one of them on a whole host of issues, although ideologically I'm a conservative that believes the Federal Government needs to shrink dramatically, but I find it much more interesting listening to the two of them because they focus entirely on principles and it really makes you think about real policy and cause and effect. Is America mature enough to ask for candidates that bring ideas and not drama to the show? Are we truly interested in a debate on the direction of the country, big government vs. small, self reliance and personal responsibility vs. collective government organized success sharing? I doubt it ... when news stories about Paris Hilton, Brittany

Spears, Anna Nicole Smith and Pitt/Jolie get 100 times more coverage than the ideas of the only two principled men in the race, then America is clearly demonstrating its addiction to pop tart culture and we'll continue to serve up pop tart candidates.
