... But, so what? A lot of us feel this way. If we're honest with ourselves, that is.
Do you trust the IRS? Think your money is actually worth its face value? Know where that money really comes from?
Read through the tax code lately? Or cracked open one of those big, thick law books? Think lawyers, accountants, doctors... any experts... or anyone who deals in words, opinions and specialized language... like journalists, for heaven's sake... are necessarily your betters... absolute authority figures... or even that much smarter than you?
I love this guy, Ron Paul!
And, you know, who would've thunk it? I voted for Gore and Kerry before now. Today, between the "top-tier" candidates put forth by the intellectual and financial elitists, we're given our choices as Tweedledum and Tweedledee... once again.
How can you possibly look in the mirror and trust your lying eyes if you don't do some real research on these candidates and their positions? Think you can outsource your thinking forever without consequence?
So just where is it that you take your stand on "democracy" anyway these days? Or "free markets"?
It was only since I passed 50 and took a long time out to acquire some new knowledge about this world that I finally woke up. Meant to do it many times before... but, oh well... you understand how all that worked out, don't you?
You must dig deep inside yourself first before you can pretend to have all the answers about this world. Try doing a search for "communitarianism", "communitarian law", "corporatism", and "anti-communitarian league". Next, try "zeitgeist movie", "money masters", "fiat currency", or any of the Adam Curtis documentaries. This is just for starters - you still have a long way to go. Try reading the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution - as it's been amended over the years - and the Bill of Rights too.
Pull out your dictionary, or bookmark it online. Plan on spending some time reading encyclopedia entries - you're going back to school, Bubba!
And ask yourself where you fit in to all this. What represents freedom for you? Have you bothered to REALLY research Ron Paul's positions on the issues and from whence they originated?
BTW, the "United States", its government - YOU as a freed American citizen with supposed "rights" - is simply not at all what you think. As a matter of fact, this country is actually a corporate entity... that's been under bankruptcy protection... since the end of the Depression and before we were forced ("manipulated" is more likely) into WWII.
We've been sold into slavery already folks. But don't believe me - look it up yourself!
It's truly a whole lot more fun than anything else... learning we've been kept... like sheep by shepherds - or kept ourselves in the dark - too often... all these years.
