And do you know why Rebecca has not included these "Off-the- Record" comments and expressions? Because there aren't any.
Yes, and now we come to the main program in the story - Black and Biracial and Educated and Tall-cheeseburg-eatin' Female-mommy-lawyers can know a lot of stuff and be funny too!!
What America really wants to know about candidates and their spouses, partners and/or consorts is this: Do they Jive?
A good partnership like the Clintons - catastrophic marital excursions, painfully-revealing TV accusations & humiliating admissions of infidelity caused by sex OCD - should not be repeated by the Obamas, please.
So, Rebecca - what's up with these guys? Are they - in your best reporter-snoopsense opinion - gonna' make it?!! OK.
And there's another thang here... people who are "just like us" ain't poor like I really am. Obama & Co. got bucks, and they deserve to be elected because, because... they're GOOD and smart and oh-so cleverly moral and ethical.
C'mon - this is American politics - where comedy and spin-liners win the day. Michelle is the monkey, albeit brilliant in dance and song-reading - Barack is the exotic Hawaiian import who has demonstrated he has what it takes to save our great nation from the 1% who Own Everything.
This piece is really all about a strong Black woman who won't shuck, jive or act stupid as a means to the victorious end.
