Look in the mirror, fella
I am amazed at the reflexive anti-GOP sentiments in here. Do any of you know Republicans?
After reading your screed, Anonymous @8:01, I'd say the anti-GOP sentiments would appear to be right on the mark. "Hillary is a Marxist"? Get real. Or at least be original.

Hillary is the only candidate they can beat
Hillary Clinton has so much negative baggage for so many, that she could potentially lose what should be the biggest cakewalk in history for Democrats. Which is why I predict the party that gave us Michael Dukkakis, Walter Mondale and John Kerry will deliver us Hillary Clinton. They seem to want to lose. The only difference is that instead of picking an uninspiring candidate, they are going to pick a lightning rod. This will energize the Right to come to the polls and many of us on the left have little or no interest in a Clinton candidacy. Just stupid...

Another Day...
...Another piece of pathetic pro-Hillary fluff in Salon. Where is an article on the Zogby poll that just came out that has Hillary losing to any of the five GOP candidates?
Hillary is doom, no matter how much Salon and Fox News try to tell us that she is "inevitable."
This site is Glenn Greenwald and Juan Cole. The rest is mostly utter crap, and all this Hillary propaganda is actively working to make the world a shittier place. I hope you choke on your keyboards.

Hillary's fictional crimes.
"Republicans hate Hillary because she has lied about an uncountable number of things,"
Why don't you enumerate a few? Let's see how many of those 'lies' are just manufactured Arkansas Project smears.
The best way to shut up a wing-nut troll is to force them to be detailed and accurate.
Edwards would be the best available candidate, but Hillary will be a damn sight better candidate then Kerry was. She *is* a fighter.

two quotes that seem to fit
it seems of late politics has turned into dirt throwing to avoid any real dialogue. I don't know about the rest of you , but I think Clinton has handled herself well concidering the amount of dirt thrown at her specifically. From both sides.
The more that is thrown at her proves the desperation and lack of debate.
“When a man points a finger at someone else, he should remember that four of his fingers are pointing at himself.”
Louis Nizer
“Noise proves nothing. Often a hen who has merely laid an egg cackles as if she had laid an asteroid.”
Mark Twain

I have my doubts about Hillary too
I hate to give any credence to Republican talking points, but I think Hillary may be unelectable, or at best, make what should be a runaway into a nailbiter. She is a lightning rod for otherwise disaffected, disheartened, disgusted Republican voters. Is it fair that she is? No. But it may be true anyway. If you're in an airplane, waiting to skydive, and some creep slashes your parachute, are you going to use it anyway, just to prove a point? Or are you going to go find another, undamaged one before you jump? If a criminal sets your car on fire, are you going to get in just to spite him?
On another note, did Rudy ever actually listen to the lyrics to Captain Jack? It's about a ginormous suburban loser whose mother still makes his bed, who can't get laid, and who smokes pot because he has nothing else to do. Not exactly a role model for "Say Yes To Drugs!" On the other hand, watching him read the lyrics was right up there with Phil Hartman doing an impression of Charlton Heston reading from Madonna's "Sex" book (croaking craggily, "Aaay love my vagaaayna!").
Finally, To Anonymous: You may be a Republican, but judging by your username, not a proud one...
But thanks for the laugh! Hillary is a "Marxist" who "will do anything for money" is my favorite Republican smear since "Hillary is a lesbian who had an affair with Vince Foster." Oh yeah -- and then killed him! A black-widow lesbian!

A Republican pro-choice serial adulterer?
At 8:54 AM Anonymous asked "Does anyone really think that we are going to have a president who is a pro-choice, serial adulterer?" After being tweaked (three times) by someone, he/she amended it to a Republican pro-choice, serial adulterer. Let me answer - NO. The way people think that the nomination is Giuliani's to lose amazes me. Folks, nearly eight years ago McCain upset Bush in New Hampshire and the Republican painted HIM as being too liberal. Can you imagine what they'll do to Giuliani? The imagination staggers. And as a pro-life Republican, let me tell you that I'm in the camp of supporters who will vote for a third party candidate if by some miracle Giuliani ever did get the nomination. But I don't think that it will come to that, thank God.

A Republican pro-choice serial adulterer?
In the previous letter, I meant to say that the South Carolina Republicans painted McCain as a liberal, which is what led to his eventual trouncing. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

Hillary Can Win
The conventional wisdom is that Hillary cannot possibly win the general presidential election because she is too unpopular or even "hated" by 40% of the electorate. I must point out that by 2004 Bush's unfavorable ratings were higher, but he still inched by Kerry. Certainly Bush in 2004 was more hated than Hillary is now in 2007. What matters is energizing your base to vote and catching part of the 45-50% the population who don't bother to vote.

A few of Hillary's lies
I think it is silly to imagine that I need to come up with Hillary's lies! What rock do you live under, grubert?
There are so many to choose from: that she didn't know anything about the pardons her brother lobbied for, that she didn't know about the billing records which turned in the White House residence up 2 years after being subpoenaed, that she was shocked and nearly the last person in America to find out about Monica, that she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary, who was an unknown beekeeper when she was born, that Chelsea was jogging near the WTC on 9/11, and was only saved because she had ducked into a coffee shop.
She told lies in many/all of the Clinton scandals: for example, she said she wasn't involved in the white house travel office firing, and also said that they were fired because of mismanagement, neither were true. Those people were fired to put in their friends.
Hillary has an extremely protective shell of security and staff around her, and so doesn't have to lie nearly as much as she would if her campaign and life were more open and transparent. We know very little about the internal deliberations of her campaign, very little about what all happened during the Hillarycare task force, etc.
Furthermore, I am not at all an expert on Hillary and so there are many more potential lies to choose from.
BTW, some of you think Bush lied about WMD, Bush knew about 9/11. That 'sophisticated' readers of this site are so factually wrong bodes bad things for our country. Have you seen the quotes from Bill and Al and Albright talking about Iraq's WMDs? Were they lying?
