Good journalism
Though undecided, I currently view myself as leaning toward Giuliani, though I am also fascinated by the "Reaganesque" Thompson and the FairTax-minded Huckabee. Nonetheless, I found this to article to be excellent journalism. It is actually fair: the authors do well to provide specific evidences that this is not the now-too-common guilt-by-association tactics used elsewhere.
Ultimately, if Giuliani becomes president, this will cast a dark shadow over Fox's credibility, much in the same way CNN's national credibility was lost during the Clinton years, as right-wing pundits repeatedly hammered the point that CNN's chief was a long-time buddy of Bill. However, if Fox News' current popularity is actually based on having a conservative draw (which I somewhat doubt), this article will have little impact.
But it has certainly caused me to think more about Giuliani.

*GAG*
I threw up a little in my mouth while reading this. Guliani is truly vile.

the other judith
rudy must have been holofernes in an earlier incarnation as his judith karma is off the rails.

I'm interested
otheus, I'm interested in some evidence that CNN was on board with Clinton the way FOX is with the GOP.

Drip...Drip...Drip
Taken as a single event, Rudy's bastardized comity with Bernie Kerik might be no big deal. However, combine that event...and, it promises to mushroom...with his many, MANY other problems and mistakes and he will be an "interesting" Republican candidate...to say the least!
If you thought John Kerry was SwiftBoated last time...just wait till our side finishes with Rudy this time. Paybacks are, indeed, a bitch.

Your Article Ignores the Most Serious Charge Made by Regan
Judith Regan explicitly charges two top Fox executives of urging her to lie to federal investigators about Kerick in order to protect Rudy. Her lawyers say she has evidence to back this up. As Dan Abrams pointed out on his show last night, if this is true the Fox executives are guilty of a serious crime. And from what is implied in her lawsuit, it appears that one of the executives is Roger Ailes. Fox could be in big trouble over this lawsuit.

Craven politicians in bed with the press
Be still my heart. Dear Lord, I never heard of that one before.

"I am Not A Crook!"
Just great! We have both parties present leaders almost guaranteeing the "lawyers full employment" act if they are elected. We can do better than this and so can the world.

FOX
Is this really news? Fox supports Giuliani! Fox is a propaganda vehicle for the GOP! PLEASE!!! The network loves Fascists,Liars,Exagerators,Corporations,Bush,Cheney,War,Incompetants,Stupidity,Money,Chickenhawks,Arrogance,Secrecy and a host of other repugnant traits! Rudy is the embodiment of ALL THESE THINGS.

More crooks in the White House
Hey I'd like it if my Time Warner cable service would have a European News Channel..or an Asian one..How about Al Jazeera in English? How did Rudy arrange for his friend's network to be included in Time Warner? He's a crook, that's how! And getting Ailes and another guy to strong arm Ms. Regan into lying at an official inquiry is simply illegal. I hope they throw the book at these guys and revoke the license of the Fox News channel. Good article. And yes, Dan Abrams' Show is getting better and better...copying a bit from Olbermann..but that's OK.

Murdoch is supporting the most scandal-laden Republican
It's obvious to me that Giuliani is being setup. Anyone ever see the show "The Weakest Link?" Giuliani is the weakest presidential contender. He's surrounded by corruption, hated by New Yorkers, firefighters, etc. As stated earlier, he will SwiftBoated up the river and Hillary will win in a landslide. The only way to beat Hillary is to support an anti-war, small government Republican who wants to balance the budget and reduce government waste. US Congressman Ron Paul is the only one who fits the bill. Wait a minute! Fox doesn't like Ron Paul!! That alone is probably one of the best endorsements this man could ever receive!

ElKabong61
Anti-war is good, but everything else about Ron Paul is awful. He is a libertarian whack job who opposes Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, ALL environmental protection, food inspections, and on and on and on. I don't want anything to do with a small-government Rethug. I want single payer national health care financing among other things. Ron Paul is the ultimate anti-progessive. You are on the wrong site to push for Ron Paul's social Darwinist nightmare.

I wish we could hold off on these attacks on Giuliani
Until after he gets the nomination.

Giuliani and the networks
Just as I thought--"the networks prefer Giuliani".
The networks have picked our "president" for the last two elections. Are we going to let them do it again?
Giuliani's association with Ailes should be enough to throw a damper on his campaign. Wasn't Ailes the Fox exec who had a flunky in Iraq pick him up a few mementos right after the invasion?
Giuliani wants to continue the GOP power grab. Didn't he propose that the mayoral election in New York be by-passed right after 9-11 in order to let him remain in control?
Giuliani would be a perfect man to fill Bush's shoes. He is crooked, pretends to be religious or not...can't seem to make up his faltering mind on that one, he has a perfect non-memory and thinks he has a divine right to the position of national leader.
Terrorist attacks do not a president make. We have found that one out the hard way.
It's the response to the danger and how the country fares in the aftermath that is the mark of a leader. Bush failed miserably.
As for the networks? The voters are on to them. We have minds. When it comes to voting for a leader, by God, use them. How anyone could possibly cast a Republican vote is beyond me.
...Fox network is to broadcasting as Bush is to the presidency. It is time we all woke up and realized who the real terrorists are.

Too bad that Salon missed the story on "John Kerry's ties to NPR."
That was a good one.

Rudy Giuliani's ties to Fox News
It just figures Rudy would be tied to the worse news station there is. FOX news gives journalism a black eye. I considered an entertainment station for the ultra-right conservatives with no regard for the truth. Stay on track Rudy and keep FOX news in your pocket. It did so well for BUSH.
