  • Nixxon Redux

McLame has Tricky Dick's tragic flaws, but none of his shrewdness and pragmatism. They're both dicks, yes, but you can stick a fork in Jonny Cake: he's done.

  • New Hamshire

McCain can do whatever he wants, it doesn't matter. Ron Paul will win New Hampshire.

  • Wait I thought

On teh intarblogs Ron Paul was already President, heroin is legal and there are no more laws, wars or taxes.

  • Out to pasture

When McCain finally, sensibly, puts his Presidential ambitions out to pasture, can he take Biden's along with him? And take all of Lieberman while he's at it, we don't need any part of Jowlin' Joe anymore.

  • I rented a Ford Van

Recently, I rented a Fork Van E-150 to drive to Cleveland and pick something up. I drove there in a Van that epitomizes everything that is wrong with American core values. And there is a sedgeway to McCain in all of this, so bear with me. The Van was technologically ancient. A big stupid V-8 at 12-15 MPG instead of a diesel at 25-30 MPG. It did not steer, seriously, the thing really did not follow any inputs from the steering wheel. It jumped around on the road like a pogo stick, had windshield wipers that wiped only half the glass and were probably from the parts bin of a 66 Fairlane. The interior was a hodgepodge of cheap shit vinyl that did not match in color. It was new and only had 11,000 miles on it. There was a sticker on it that said quality is job 1, on the windshield. WOW was I ever relieved to read that. Here is the issue folks: while the rest of the world eats our lunch at production and reinventing products, our homebred FORD is selling a truck that is over 30 years old. When the Japanese, Koreans, or Chinese look at the White Van Market and create a good product, I will rent one. Like Ford, McCain has himself to blame for the idiocy that is his campaign, recycled visions of himself as the outsider or rebel don't square with toadying to the religious right wing. After my rental experience, I will applaud the ultimate bankruptcy of Ford. How dare they not produce a good product in light of the competition out there. I feel the same way about McCain. I don't trust him, I don't think he knows what he is anymore. All this and he seems to have the same steering components as the Ford I rented. New Hampshire is not going to help, John, they are in Subaru's with all wheel drive. You, are an old Ford Fairlane, dressed up as a new Van. Not buying it, Nope, no way, not ever.
