  • mmmmm.....Eve.......

Boy, and Eve looks like a total babe.... no leeches or scars on her taut, tawney and lithe body... Ya' know, come to think of it... it really must have been paradise. Both of them don't look like they live naked, exposed to the elements, in the wild.... maybe the elements were invented by god later....But...not to digress... I sure love to bang that waxen looking vixen....

  • Eve was a babe!

    Who knew? Nice photo.

There ought to be a new political/social division in the US called Stupidheadism. And this new museum would be a prime example thereof.

"Conservative" or even "Throwback" doesn't quite sum it up the way that "Stupidhead" does. Fred Thompson is the obvious choice for the Stupidhead ticket in '08. Let's embrace this. There's power in Stupidity. Creationism, NASCAR... it can be mined like a vein of gold.

  • adam and eve are hot!

That's awesome that adam and eve are so hot! I want to create a new race of people with eve, too.

It's funny that these poeple have thier head so far lodged up thier own (*ahem*) that they can't see they are projecting cultural sterotypes of beauty on to thier displays

  • And of course they are white

Except the bible places them in the Middle East - Ok, so how come they look like a middle American white couple? With a tan that took them all year to get (or perhaps spray on?)

Up close do they have blue eyes? Bet they are modern height as well, yet we can dig up bodies from the last two centuries and show the average person has gotten taller and heavier - so how come they look modern? Perhaps the last two hundred years of history are all an anti-religious plot as well.

  • Adam and Eve...

look middle eastern!!!Come to think of it...so does Jesus Christ....!So why bomb the people and region that the Son of God was born from?

Or Maybe Darwin knew something we did not?

  • More proof that human beings are doomed

All religions are bullshit. There, I said it. Furthermore, I hope I offended all the weak minded sheep who follow religion.

  • Take this seriously!

These people are impervious to reason, and they have no real sense of humor. Plus, they still have a good chance to take over the USA.

  • Poor Mr. Shaw....

I don't have the heart to tell him that abortion, drugs, homosexuality, etc. were around long before Darwin set sail (much less that a lot of the evil on earth is perpetuated by Biblical literalists.)

  • Torn between two faves

Sure I'm as sad as the next person that we don't live before the fall from grace when tigers ate berries and the T-rex munched quietly on grass, but on the other hand we get to eat lamb. And really, isn't it kind of a special hell to live in a world without delicious, succulent, mouth-watering lamb?

Eternal paradise vs. roast lamb.... mmmmm, don’t know it's a tough call.

  • Did God provide a beard trimmer?

Seriously, check out the neatly sculpted beard on Adam. Also, I think I've seen Eve's face somewhere before... Oh yeah, on just about every department store mannequin I've ever seen! They both look like mannequins with wigs and a beard. I almost expect to see faint lines around the wrists, elbows, shoulders and neck. Maybe they just covered those up with bronzer.

  • Though I live in NY, I'm going to make a special trip to this museum.

It'll take me awhile to drive there, though. I hope they're open on Sunday.

  • If I Didn't Know Any Better...

...I'd SWEAR that Eve is reaching for Adam's nipple. I think they're about to get it on.

  • Great Shampoo, Eve ...

She must be washing and brushing that mane a couple of times a day, and look - no split ends, nothing. Must be Clairol - after all, Eve, you're worth it !

  • T.Rex Tissue

"He cites a recent discovery of intact blood vessels in some T. rex tissue, suggesting that the finds are only thousands of years old, not 65 million"

T.REX tissue, ok has anyone heard or seen of a T.Rex tissue-blood vessels

    Dave

  • So I turned to consider wisdom and madness and folly

Why must people like Ken Ham take the most historically important and powerful document the Western world has produced and reduce it to ridicule by demanding a literal interpretation of allegorical fables found in its first few pages? Would it kill them to just leave it alone for once?

What is lacking (in Mr. Ham's mind) cannot be counted. Sigh.

  • Mock away....it's easy and fun and who around here is going to object?

But at the risk of asking an obvious question, would any of you offer the same level of ridicule for a similar museum created by Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, Zoroastrian, Wiccan, or Shinto fanatics? You say you would. But of course you wouldn't. We all know it.

For the record, I think it's pretty stupid too. But just as it's said that ridiculing and hating Muslims is not making meaningful progress in today's conflicts in the Middle East, nor is the ridicule of Christians in today's conflict at home.

Your beliefs, whatever they may be, are pretty stupid in lots of other people's eyes.

  • Downward spiral

I've been troubled for years by the fact that we in this country alienate people with intelligence. The smart kids are: dorks, geeks, losers, wimps & not someone you want to be seen sitting with at lunch or take to the prom. We idealize the tough and somewhat Neandertal-like image of the "jock". I'm not saying a child can be both smart & athletic but the stereotypes are there and are both culturally and actively enforced. We stereotype our attractive women as vacuous too. Surely this has something to do with the Paris Hilton phenomenon (you can fill in any "hot" & "dumb" celebrity here). Even in our cartoons, the smart character is portrayed with thick glasses and an awkward appearance. Smart - Bad/Ugly ::: Dumb - Good/Attractive

And as if that were not all bad enough, we now are building museums to our glorious worship of stupidity. Man running around with dinosaurs. When I was a child the church just avoided talking about dinosaurs in hopes we'd be scared enough of hell to forget about that little inconsistency. Now however they've envisioned this new and fanciful world where reality and science are thrown to the wind and replaced with faith and devotion. All I know is that if you're making it up as you go along then the odds are pretty good that it's...well, all just made up.
