Pathetic!
Only the most inept and fearful of individuals fall over swooning for this cardboard cutout bluster. It's pathetic to me that political discourse in this nation- especially by the right- boils down to "My dad can beat up your dad" and which politician seems "toughest"
Are you kidding me?
John Wayne may have been a fine action movie star in his day, but there's no way I would want to put him in to the Oval Office. Too often politicians, and the American public at large, equate the bullshit myth of "alpha male toughness" with competency in a political office- an office that requires great intelligence, nuance, compromise and integrity- attribuites that none of these current candidates, nor our current President possess.
Equally sad is the inability of the American public to see past the hallowed presentation of "Saint Ronnie" and remember a presidency rife with corruption, economic downturn and international gaffes.
Sad. Sad. Sad.
And for shame.
