    Mental health and race

    I've spoken to the director of the national Asian American mental health agency who said there need to be more Asian American mental health counselors who understand specific racial and ethnic cultures. She said it's hard to get Asian Americans to talk about mental health issues because there's an extreme stigma against mental health issues in the community. This guy had mental health problems and he needed help from mental health counselors but also mental health support from the community.
