    Sigh...

An important topic like this, and I am so completely burned out on the process that the only thing that can persuade me to write a letter is to call RealName a dick.

But I won't. It serves no purpose to fall to the level of the neocon and start calling people names and avoiding the real issue. Like how the war is unjust, but that we still can't leave. Can't have Middle East in chaos, our economy would collapse without all that oil. We can't win, and we can't lose. The troops we have now are not enough, but the yellow-ribbon crew just won't sign up. In this respect, it's much like the anti-abortion sentiment the neocons' like to show. We love your baby until it is born, then go fuck yourself.

Are you really Christian, my neocon brothers? Jesus said pretty explicitly that we are here to live in love and peace. To take care of the poor, to feel the hungry, to clothe the naked, to heal the sick. But hey, how can we focus on that sort of thing when some dude might be blowing another dude? I mean, where are my priorities. I mean, it's all about the family values. That's why the neocons keep having serial marriages. They love the institution of marriage so much, they need to have three or four. Wife in the hospital with cancer? Fax those papers, baby. It's God's will.

Somehow, I do not think Jesus, the Prince of Peace and a local, would call the killing of tens of thousands of people for what amounts top war profiteering and bragging rights very Christian. I hope he can forgive...

I also hope he can forgive me for going back on my word and calling RealName a dick, too.
