Marsden's qualifications questionable, too
I followed the Marsden-Donnelly story closely when it happened. As a newspaper columnist at the time, I met a few deadlines thanks to the many questions it raised about credibility, culpability, and compensation. If I remember correctly, Marsden was given a free pass on her exams by SFU as part of her compensation package -- convenient, no? At the very least, it raises the question, how on earth does this woman manage to keep coming up from her own self-inflicted shit, smelling of roses?
One point that I was hoping for someone else to raise is that Marsden is a lousy writer. By comparison, Ann Coulter is a veritable fount of wit and wisdom!

Therapy and a Muzzle
This was an amazing and horrifying article- well-written and thoroughly engaging, but so disheartening. I can't believe a woman like this exists- she's a monster! Does anyone else suspect she may have had a secretly terrible childhood? Not that that excuses her horrendous behavior in the least, but there has to be a reason behind this kind of heinousness! Right? Or am I just being naive? Anyhow, I'm of the prescribe-her-therapy-and-a-muzzle camp.
P.S. The state of TV "Journalism" today makes me want to gouge my eyes out.

the reason fox matters to the "left" is that fox forms/influences/mirrors back the "thinking" of
an almost majority of the US population. Whether they are cause or effect (I think they are both) they are an indication that a real problem exists.

If America wants a truly hot and talented Canadian journalist
I recommend giving the lovely Leah McLaren more of a journalistic presence down here. Marsden is trash and has only gained momentum as far as I know with "The National Post" and the Enquirer-esque, useless Toronto Star which as other Canadians have noted have numbered days ahead... no one takes that paper seriously. Both newspapers don't seem to be doing too well and they're the only ones that would hire her for anything. Marsden is a disgrace to journalism all over and has not to my knowledge gained much credibility. And btw, whoever calls her hot should get their eyes checked.

Who cares?
She certainly seems crazy and if she never got help, then she may find some new man to obsess over. Perhaps she was molested by schoolteacher daddy who likes to bang teenagers and maybe this is why she's crazy and hateful. But to her importance, huh? Never heard of her before and I certainly don't watch FOX news at 2am and since no ratings information was given, we can't even tell how well her shtick is working compared to late night cartoons on Adult Swim, lame movies and informercials.
Also, are any of you any better when you attack her looks? She looks the way she looks, she may not be some supermodel, you may not be attracted to her, but's it's pretty obvious she fits the bill of what's considered attractive. Tan, long hair, clear skin, thin long frame and in shape. If she was modeling before, then she's not some sort of troll. Perhaps many women develop crazy eating disorders and insist on plastic surgery because whenever anyone calls a woman pretty or hot there is a slew of people to knock her right back down and say, no you're not, you're not that good looking or pretty or hot, or the ones that call her and Ann Coulter transvestites or drag queens, like you aren't a real woman, get over yourself. You wouldn't attack a black or asian person for the way they look, so I don't see why you do it to women.
Why be so hard on a women just because she's not your cup of tea when it's obvious she's good looking. I don't think Brad Pitt is sexy, but I can tell that he's a good looking man.
I thought the goal was to be better than the jerks on FOX and on talk radio who don't have real arguements or points so they just insult people for their appearance and bathing habits.

Rebecca, if I were you I'd change my locks daily until I'd re-settled under a new name(s), and keep moving, indefinitely for the rest of your life. After she's gone too far and gotten canned (as they always do), she will find and pursue you to punish you for causing the whole thing, eating kittens to keep up her strength.
I am surprised that you didn't use the proper term for her: personality disordered. She will go on and on, eating her pounds of flesh, until her own flesh falls away to reveal the lack of a genuine personality underneath.
People like her are supposedly at high risk of suicide, though this mental health professional has never seen one actually do it, except by proxy - which comes as a mercy to their victims. They are the perfect representation of what our society has become - pretty in pink on the outside, but really a putrid portrait in the attic.
Ours is now a death-based society, as exemplified by the walking dead Murdoch and his Fox zombies (not to mention the DC ghouls), and she has found home, as much as the un-dead can ever have one. Put a stake through her heart and see what happens - she'll think you're tickling her ribs!
