Conserva-babe and star-in-the-making Rachel Marsden has a, um, colorful past. What was Fox thinking?
  • But how intimidated are people by Fox?

It's hard for me to get upset with the network, simply because I don't watch it. But at the end of the day, no matter how frustrating, it's ONE network. The constant need for the left to ridicule, expose, and excoriate this one news outlet is more telling about the critics than the object of their criticism.

It seems to prove that this is a conservative country, Fox is the the main information source for the nation, and as long as it exists the left (and the Democratic party: which is not exactly the same thing) is severely hampered in terms of influencing public thought. Otherwise, why care? It's pretty obvious the shows and personalities that attract so much vitriol are not the news shows or the anchorpersons. It's always the talk shows and personality-fueled commentators.

Why do people waste their time on this? And what does this preaching to the converted accomplish for Salon?
