Compromise is the only way to get out!
MoveOn goals and tactics in Washington make sense to me and I am a member. I do not think that an immediate pull-out of Iraq is possible or even desirable. It takes time to disengage. This war has been a catastrophe for the Iraqi people. I, for one, think that we should pull out intelligently and, above all, humanely by helping the Iraqi's as much as possible to set up some semblance of a government which can govern. That may prove impossible, yes, but we must try in the remaining months to bring some stability for these people. America is responsible for the chaos over there...we simply can't walk away abruptly...nor will we for the simple fact that an immediate pullout will never be considered by this Congress. However, we must not overstay. I am okay with the deadline Nancy Pelosi achieved. Compromises must be made.
