All but launching a presidential run, Barack Obama has added serious star power to the 2008 race -- and made history.
  • Mistakes

Voting for Obama is the only way I can vote Democratic this time around. If neither party wants to field a candidate that doesn't have blood on their hands from the Iraq war, then I'm going to sit my ass at home.

I like Edwards, but his "I'm sorry I voted that way" routine is a joke. The Senate and House Democrats absolutely knew how unclear the tea leaves were in regards to WMDs when they voted for the invasion -- and they chose political expediency over sound policy. And now we're all soaking in it.

I don't think the Dems need to be punished for this, exactly, but I sure as hell won't vote for someone who made a mistake on the single most important vote a person can make in their lifetime. Our leadership hasn't done such a good job that we can plausibly start demanding 'experience'. New blood is where it's at.
