All but launching a presidential run, Barack Obama has added serious star power to the 2008 race -- and made history.
  • Press (Including Salon) Ignores The Best Candidate, Ron Paul

We've heard hoopla about Obama, Clinton, McCain, etc. for months now. They either lack experience or have inconsistent stands on the issues. To some degree all are beholden to the globalist elite that owns the mainstream media and decides who to promote and who to ignore. If elected, any of them would owe a debt to this group and be controlled by it, as have all of our recent presidents.

There is one candidate that has consistently spoken out eloquently on the issues that confront America and has bucked his party and its leaders in voting against their program of creeping totalitarianism. This is Representative Ron Paul of Texas, who voted against the Patriot Act and the War in Iraq and has blasted Bush's program of growing and intrusive government and his foreign policy of military aggression. Unlike Bush, he pursued a successful career before entering politics, as a physician. He is a military veteran. The people in his district have reelected him repeatedly by overwhelming margins. He gets no traction with the transnational corporate financiers because he supports a program based on the Constitution, not on short term economic exploitation. I am a lifelong Democrat who would be happy to vote for this Republican.
