Lets' review
The Green Line isn't an "internationally recognized" demarc of anything. That's really the point.
It has succeeded in deflecting attacks so it would be helpful to at least address that as an issue as well. The last time I checked human lives, even Jewish ones, were worth more than apricots.
Leila Sansour isn't a security expert, she's an advocate for an NGO dedicated to eliminating the fence.
Christians in Bethlehem, which used to account for 85% of the populace 25 years ago are now around 10%. Seemingly the Fence only disturbs their lives, which is a puzzle, to me.
Property values in Israel are apropros of nothing. One could claim that the land boom in Tel Aviv or Western Jerusalem 'means' something but that of course would be nonsense.
Israelis are entirely familiar with the particulars of the Fence. For Dror Etkes to make this claim, is at best libellous and more likely a kind of bigotry.
If Algazi is posing a threat that somehow Israelis will be imperiled by actually having a border, I can assure you this is not a new threat. If on the other hand Algazi means that Israel isn't entitled to have a border, then that too is not a new threat. In the meanwhile, the IDF will trade apricots for human lives. We wish you well with whatever it is you have to respond to that.

Doomed to Irrelevancy
Please, Ms. Shabi, enough.
Enough of relating the 'hardships' that Israel is 'imposing' on the Palestinians. Enough of the stale argument that Israel is 'trying to steal' land. Enough of the argument that the Palestinians are somehow not in control of their own destiny. Enough. Enough of the violins, the tugging at heart strings for a people of whom it must be said that they lack one of two critical components: 1. the will to push to the edges of relevancy their own extremists 2. the will to live with the consequences of not pushing to the edge of relevancy their own extremists.
Every single paragraph in your article should have started with a sentence that said "The Palestinians, who did not exist as a national entity until 1948, did not push for their own country until 1964, and at the time of their national awakening held all the land they now claim they want, but battled with the Israelis nonetheless, are currently represented by a group that actively advocates for Israel's destruction."
Every paragraph should include the line "The Arab nations who champion Palestinians’' human rights have tried to commit genocide--attempting to kill all the Jews in Israel no fewer than four times, in 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973. The would-be mass murderers are outraged that their brethren, who strove with them to butcher every Jew they could lay their hands on, are not allowed into their fields."
Ms. Shabi, by not putting these facts at the forefront of every paragraph, you doom your article to irrelevancy. You miss the point. Is it sad that people can't all be like the family of Saud? Is it sad that some people are poor and destitute and have no exit to their situation? Sure it is. But I will not shed a single tear for any Arab or any Muslim as long as Arab and Muslim nations continue to boycott Israeli goods or to perpetuate--if only in law, and not through armed struggle--their war against Israel.
Jews have been singing, praying, yearning for a return to Israel and Jerusalem since the Babylonians carried them away as slaves. The Palestinians did not exist until 1948. They waged a war and lost. And when you lose a war you lose your land. Ask the Mexicans. Ask the Germans of the Sudeten. Ask Ottomans. Ask the French, the British, Chinese, the Cubans or Portuguese. That's the way it works. You declare war. You lose. Your land is no longer "your land." And that is what the Arabs did. They waged a war to destroy Israel and they lost. I will shed no tears for them if Israel separates them from some land they would sure like to cultivate.
I will end the way you should have ended: "The Palestinians, if they were armed as well as the Syrians, Iranians, or they themselves wished, would immediately attack Israel and kill every man, woman, and child within range until every Jew was dead, or every shell were spent. If the latter, they would go on to kill Jews with stones, spikes, or the nails of their hands. Rather than eliminate the threat to it's survival, Israel contains it by building a wall. I, Ms. Shabi, would like that wall to come down so some men can grow peaches and harvest their nectarines while the Arab armies ready their machines and gird their young men with with red dreams and ideologies of martyrdom."

As Einstein said, international law only exists in textbooks...
So do what you gotta do, Israel.

an everlasting shame for the jewish people
"apartheid wall" is right. The self-righteous letters of people like Gadi Ben-Yehuda remind me of nothing more than Osama Bin Laden. It is too common in the United States for us to perceive Israel as a victim -- when it sometimes is -- but to see Palestinians as animals and lower forms of life.
For people like Ben-Yehuda, everyone in Palestine is a potential terrorist, but the Israeli reservists who bomb civilians and kill children, women and other non-combatants are heros doing a difficult job.
Of course, as another letter writer wrote, international law is a joke. He might well have added, as Hilter did, "who remembers the Armenians."
One day, the children, or the grandchildren, of the Israelis who now support this wall will look with shame on their ancestors.

"One day, the children, or the grandchildren, of the Israelis who now support this wall will look with shame on their ancestors."
I really, really, really doubt that...really.

Muslims go nuts over Pope's words and kill an innocent nun in Mogadishu
The sister was in her sixties. She lived in the same poverty as the miserable and wretched poor of Somolia, toiling every day of her life for free, to help feed and give medical aid to the poorest women and children.
The goddamned Muslim clerics whipped up their ignorant masses into a murderous rampage about some stupid thing the Pope said in Germany that the "faithful" started burning down churches.
And they shot the nun too. Killed her.
Oh, and you better not draw any cartoons they don't like, or they'll threaten to burn down your newspaper office and cut the throats of your spouse and children.
Oh, and don't be writing any books that dis Muhammed either. They'll issue a worldwide hit contract on you like they did Salmon Rushdie.
Allah Akbar! My ass.
Gee, I wonder why the Israelis think they need a fence anyway.
