The killing of civilians in Lebanon's capital has citizens once opposed to Hezbollah outraged by what they see as Israel's indiscriminate bombing.
  • the horror of flawed strategy

Has no one ever heard the homily "the cure is worse than the disease"? Or "cut off your nose to spite your face"?

This whole movement of thought -- that in order to eradicate a harbored dysfunction everyone there should be annihilated -- it's just disgusting.

Afghanistan, or Iraq, or Lebanon...it doesn't matter which: it's all the same philosophy that the civilians are meaningless so long as we manage to knock off a few of the criminals.

While we're at it, let's just blow up the crime-ridden areas of US cities, because you know we might catch some criminals. Certainly those criminals' families and loved ones are harboring them.

What is with people? How many studies need to exist that show stability brings more stability, and senseless violence breeds more senseless violence?

I'm just appalled. This poor father; everyone.
