If that's future "prosperity" you're in trouble

Near all the jobs in SA, like most of the southwest are hand to mouth, barely surviable low-esteem positions without benefits. Hardly something to strive for - unless you're a Repuglican country-clubber.

All this discussion of illegal immigration, the Repug's latest wedge issue, is ridiculous. Bu$h is going to spend yet more billions of red ink for a make-believe appearance of doing something.

If Bush wanted to stop illegal immigration he could do it overnight by fining the employers a couple million instead of a couple thousand. And furthermore, it is VERY possible to verify that someone is illegal. If they are using the social security number of an old Irishman that died in Boston 10 years ago, for example, it obviously ain't them.

These is all, as usual, the Do-Nothing smoke and mirrors of bought and paid for Repuglicans.
