I don't think the problem is mostly of race. It's of class. I came from a low-income single family home and relocated to a fairly affluent area (Annapolis, Maryland)for financial reasons. I found the locals filthy rich and stunningly arrogant. I am white myself but I was surprised how often I found myself surrounded in social situations and at work where I was ganged up on by hostile men and even women. The reason was social class. I had neither money or social connections. I was friendly and bright enough, but they could pick up right away that I wasn't "one of them." I didn't go to a fancy private school, board a horse, and vacation in Colorado for the ski season. This made me and others like me (I learned not to take it personally) open season for abuse. Sometimes I hear down the road that one of the arrogant rich locals were in a car accident or landed on the head wrong when they went sking and had a stroke and I can't help but chuckle. But I don't know what makes people that way.

My impression is that few people to college to get an education anymore, they go to make more money later in life and advance their social position. Colleges feed this "ambition" because they also want more money in tuition. Surely this has always been the case to *some* extent, but I wonder if there is any value placed on education for education's sake anymore? And if not, who is to blame? Some drunken rich kids?

It also doesn't help when the "president" of the USA is one of the most ignorant and obnoxious frat-boys in history, and when the best the American "opposition" party can do is offer a fellow frat-brother (that would be John Kerry, a member of Dubya's college fraternity and also his distant cousin) as an "alternative" candidate.

Actually rich white boys are the reason why 20 million illegal aliens are about to be amnestied into the country. Poor all over the world who hate white people should rejoice.
