Democratic strategists say opposing Bush on NSA spying makes the party look weak. Of course, that's what they said about Iraq.
  • Time for some guts at the DNC

You would think that the Democratic consultants were moles planted by Bush, Inc. If Democratic candidates aren’t able to bring down the present bunch of crooks and liars then they do not deserve to lead the country. Let the Democrats set the agenda for a change. Here are the talking points that I think should be beaten to death on Sunday news shows and at press conferences. Every voter should know the following: 1. what the K-Street project is; 2. that Cheney did business with terrorist states; 3. that Cheney, Wolfowitz and others wanted Hussein overthrown long before Bush entered the Whitehouse; 4. that Bush has stacked his administration with industry insiders who continue to represent industry and not the American people (his administration is of the rich, by the rich, and for the rich) and because of this the Bush administration has the worst environmental record in modern times (why don’t environmental groups put out public service announcements?); 6. that the Bush administration is secretive, intrusive, power hungry, unaccountable, and all those other things that conservatives say they hate about big government (we have met the enemy and he is us); 7. that Republicans are responsible for the increase in pork-barrel spending; 8. that corruption never reached the present levels under a Democratically controlled congress and certainly we should all laugh at the fact that Republicans were suppose to bring integrity back to Washington. The best thing about being a Democrat is that we do not need to lie, distort, or exaggerate in order to discredit Bush and associates. They supply all of the ammunition anyone would need. Democrats can wait for the RNC to self-destruct if they like…I favor giving them a hand.
