Being from Ontario, I'm always amazed at how cheap American beer is in America. Six bottles of Bud here costs like 13 dollars.
Quebec is a little more reasonable, and a great hotbed of cheap local beers. A single bottle of Tremblant can be bought in some stores for a dollar. The place around the corner from me would sell cans of Old Mil for .99.
Quebec produces some of the best beer in north america, specifically Maudite, Fin du Mode, Blance de Chambly etc.
And Lucky Lager is certainly alive in Canada, and some of the most vile shit I've ever consumed. They sell Lucky Force 10, a 10% swill sold in a massive, heavy bottle. If I die early, it's because of Lucky Force 10.
