Congratulations! Great recipes, but Pimm's is spelt with two m's!
You should do a Cocktails in the Salon book with the best 50 recipes in time for Labor Day. Premium subscribers get it for a discount, natch.
Er, OK, you used Limonata for lemon soda.
What kind of vodka did you use?
(For me, stocking the bar is always the hard part...)
Could you explain "muddled"? And what is a "simple syrup"?
Thanks -
"Muddling" is light crushing to release juices. You can read a (loving) description here: http://allthemarmalade.blogspot.com/2006/06/join-great-muddle-class.html
"Simple Syrup" is a sugar solution used for sweetening drinks. You can find a recipe here: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Simple-Syrup/Detail.aspx
And for infused vodkas, I find anything that isn't rotgut works fine for me. The last time I made Earl Grey vodka I think I used Smirnoff, but something a little smoother would be even nicer.
Damn! I just got over my passionate addiction to Pama (pomegranate) and lime vodka (with a splash of perrier and a lime squeeze. It was the vodka that had to go - cocktail hour was stretching into dinner hour and beyond. Now you're giving me more yummy vodka drinks I have to try. Oh well, the lost summer in Florida continues.
I have a cocktail recipe:
*2 ounces of lemonade Kool-Aid
*1 ounce of orange juice, freshly squeezed
*20 ounces of Skyy Vodka
*Blend
It's called "Panther Piss."
Tastes like it, looks like it, and comes out like it.
Oooh, I am going back to Tahoe to...
Linger.
Sip.
Thanks for the Glacier Park; I love rum drinks. The Vodka Jengibre sounds enthralling. Buenos Aires has so many unusual concoctions, and this makes it (almost) feel like I'm there. As for the grand prize winner, iced tea drinks remind me of the first time I tried Long Island Iced tea. It was memorable, but not pleasant. However, I'll definitely be including this list in my library of cocktails.
What a difficult job your judges had!
