    this guy votes!

Although, I have been in animal rescue for years, I have never been able to understand how someone can live with someone, name them, care for them (supposedly)and bring them to a kill shelter...too old, doesn't match the couch, boyfriend allergic. In fact, after years of animal rescue, I am no longer for democracy. I do not want people voting for me who are handicapped in terms of empathy.

I love the way the writer describes Harold anthropormophically to relieve guilt (bored, resigned, right,) but can't muster up any compassion in six months to not murder this bird.

I am vegan. The argument that animals should be treated well and then killed does not sit well with me. Eating meat contributes greatly to global warming, poverty, starvation, and unnecessary cruelty. Of course, none of those things are as valuable as the writer's tastebuds.

    Yuk.
