Toni Layton-Lambert-Buffet makes Clark Rockefeller look like Mother Teresa

Toni Layton-Lambert (wife of Jeff) has gotten plenty…. Over the term of her relationship with MN she stole… er… embezzled…????) millions via money sent to outside sources without MN’s knowledge, and more seriously, by cooking books so no one would ne’er be the wiser. Until she got caught. (Ooops!)

Toni is a fraud, a liar, a thief, a narcissist. Snagging MN was a get rich not-so-quick plan she schemed after the plan targeting F. Langella ended with an order against her. Oh, and she swears she's the illegitimate daughter of Warren. Yes, Buffet.

The partner should also take responsibility for the debt she created.

Right on Kelly Q.

Toni created a mountain(s) of debt and executed a number of fraudulent dealings without MN's knowledge. Not nice, not

trustworthy, and definitely not deserving.

This is why DOMA needs to be repealed

Divorce laws exist to protect the divorcing parties from exactly this kind of outcome. If we deny gay people the protections that legal marriage - and divorce - affords the spouses, more and more gay people will go through exactly that. What Navratilova did was legal. It was legal for her to do that because the law specifically excludes her partner from its protection.

Notice that even if some states allow gay marriage, this sort of thing will still happen. If the couple moves to some other state that does not allow gay marriage, the court will not assist in any way with their divorce - even if their marriage was legal in the state in which they married. So, if an evil and conniving gay spouse wants to divorce their spouse without any kind of obligation, all s/he would have to do is move to Texas, or Florida, or some other benighted state that does not allow gay marriage, and then just dump their spouse and leave them with nothing. This is what you get when you exclude a class of people from the protections that divorce laws afford - you get bad behavior.
