Rebecca takes two pages to distill what Lewis and Waldman didn't in six hundred: this debate will seem bizarrely antiquated and irrelevant to any child currently being raised by any of us. The "oops I'm a dad" school of thought will go the way of the "fetch me my belt so's I can whup you" ethic, and to think it only took a few hundred thousand years. Wonderful writing.
