Porn in a flash

A troubling surge in creepy "upskirt" photography has lawmakers in a twist -- and the body parts of women posted all over the Internet.

The letters thread is now closed.

Men don't even think in that way

it is women that overANALyze these things.

Men who defend upskirt photographers, as if they have some sort of constitutional freedom of expression right to the hidden parts of women's bodies, are actually cheering on that power and control factor.

Power? Guys get turned on by women. They like to get a furtive glance. Lordy...it is not more complicated than that.

If women did the same back at men, they would insist that it be kept legal.

These men fear that women are no longer as subject to men as they used to be, that women can compete with men for jobs and win, that women might fight back, that women have learned the legal system to protect themselves, that men no longer have a right to beat their wives, that guys can no longer easily get away with date rape, and that men (ala Warren Jeffs-types) no longer have the right to sexual access to the women in their families.

I suppose there might be some men who buy into this, but most guys just like the thrill of seeing something not intended for display. So criminalize all men. Better yet, kill them all. Women never break or stretch taboos?

Women never use their sexual power over men? If you are prepared to say that, than you might have some validity to your argument. But you do not, because women use and ABUSE their sexual power over men all the damn time, and nobody asks that it be outlawed.

So men are more generous than women in this regard. AGAIN it makes women look small and diminished in people's eyes. You women do this to yourselves.

Frankly, I think it WOULD be refreshing to convict and jail women who abuse their sexual power over men. It would shut people like you down from your phony baloney arguments.

What they hate most of all: That a man can no longer, merely by providing material support to a woman, get automatic access to sex.

No, now men have to PAY for it. That sure sounds better, huh? No man EVER has automatic access to a woman, just as no woman ever does either.

In other words, what they whine, whine, whine about is the loss of the power and control of men over women. That's why they hate feminists. That's why they like to lump all feminists into the same convenient category to attack. That's why they like to accuse even women who are not self-identified feminists as feminists so that they can attack any right asserted by women.

Nice theory, Too bad it is a phony fantasy hatched inside your head.

Feminism has numerous problems, not the least of which is the rabid man hatred it constantly spews. hatred that has been inculcated into the young women to the point that many young women have REJECTED feminism altogether.

Look in your own bed, people.

If you would like to know why I ignore Brightstar and Mr. E and others of their ilk most of the time, it is because I have heard all their crap before and BECAUSE I CAN.

Now, in the 21st century, women have the right to ignore men if they do choose and men cannot do a damned thing about it.

you can continue to ignore me because your arguments ring hollow and YOU KNOW IT.

@AnnieW -- I apologize to you

I am not unhinged but rather making a very pointed point. I am tired of Aka Smith, and others, making wild accusations and resorting to venom and vindictiveness whenever she or they lack actual substance. And, I might point out that I never _actually_ called her a rapist. I merely implied that she _might_ be one. Which, in my own view is worse.

@Aka Smith -- Actually You're Wrong

Its neither of those.

I just wanted you to see what it felt like to get branded something horrible by someone you don't even know. And worse, because you happen to possess a common physical attribute and thus are "guilty" by similarity. I just wanted you to feel SINGLED OUT by the group and accused of something that you know damn well you would never do, could never do or even contemplate doing. I just wanted you to feel, if even for a moment, what its like to be in a group of people and someone POINT THE FINGER at YOU.

I never did hear you deny it. Perhaps you really are a rapist.

@Anony (and comment to Mr.E)

"I see Paris. I see France. I see JaneDoes underpants!"

My favorite lingerie store name of all time was in Laguna Beach. It was:

I.C. London

I was pleased everytime that I drove by it.

p.s. Mr.E, much earlier in the thread you were making some points, even if not everyone was agreeing with you. Now you're coming of a bit unhinged. We get it, AKA pissed you off.

There's no room for question

In AKA Smith's quick digestion

@Anon -- I'm not upset

I'm not upset. I don't want anybody raped or abused (and particularly not by AKA Smith).

It tears my heart out every time I hear about a little person getting hurt. It doesn't matter to me how they get hurt-- our children are our most precious gifts, to be adored and treasured. And it just kills me anytime I hear about a child getting killed or abused or anything like that. And even more so since I've become a father. I don't know if you have kids or not, but it seems like all I can hear these days are stories of children getting hurt or killed. I don't know if there's a real increase or else I'm just more attuned to it now. All I can think about are my own children and if they're near, hug them a little closer.

I'm sure Aka Smith, the alleged RAPIST, will now turn these words against me. But that's how I feel and my heart aches and goes out to the Parents of these kids or anybody else who loves them.

@ Anony: About that one particular person trying to label me ...

chances are he is either projecting his own behavior or what he fears within himself.

Is that Smith is always SO certain

So unimpeachable and inpeccably

Just so..
