Not only the guys, I am sick of hearing all these normally sensible people saying they have to vote obama because their children "just love him". Unfortunately, these people are so mesmerized by Obama they don't really see him. He hasn't had an original idea yet. In every instance, he waited until Hillary presented her ideas, altered it slightly, then presented it as his own. That's why there is so little difference between their policies because he doesn't have any. These Obama people are just like the Bush Believers. They'll all cry foul if he gets into office & has no idea what to do because he doesn't have anyone to copy. So go ahead, Guys, do just what Oprah tells you. I'm sure obama does. And parents, there is a reason children aren't allowed to vote, please think about what you're teaching them. This election really does matter.

Whose crying foul? Salon NEVER writes ANYTHING critical of clinton. Is that bias? I think so. This article is crying foul, you nimrod.

What it is the difference between a man, a traditional woman and an independent woman (à la Hillary)
What it is the difference between a man, a strong independent feminist woman (à la Hillary) and a weak traditional woman who has absorbed the culture of the patriarchy and is opressed and controlled by men? Let's see some examples.
A man works by himself and he is proud of his achievements.
A weak traditional woman doesn't work so she is proud about the success of her husband, which she considers her own ("Behind a great man, there is a great woman", which is not true).
A strong independent woman, like Hillary, considers the years of experience of his husband as if they were her own. "We have fought for Social Security" (Excuse me, ma'am, you were not elected and had no position. Sleeping with a president cannot be considered part of a resume - as Monica Lewinsky should know).
A man does their best and, when he does something wrong and thinks are not the way he expected, he admits responsibility for his mistakes and try to learn from them.
A weak traditional woman, when she does something wrong and thinks are not the way she expected, blames her husband and nags him to solve the problem.
A strong independent woman, like Hillary, when she does something wrong and thinks are not the way she expected, blames society, sexism, Obama, primary election system and everybody except her (too bad she was caught in a lie when he talk about leaving an airport within cross-fire: she is not responsible of that, CNN is responsible of recording images). Then she nags the society to solve her problem for her, passing a law who grants her privileges (well, in this case this is impossible, because it's an election, but most feminist laws has been passed this way).
The slogan of a man is "I will do my best".
The slogan of a weak traditional woman is "It's not my fault. Honey, you must fix that".
The slogan of a strong independent woman is "It's not my fault. Government must fix that".
So the husband of a strong independent woman is the government. Without government privileges, strong independent women couldn't exist.

Salon's Letters Column - not a representative sample of anything sane
As many people have pointed out - obsessing over subjective, selective and deliberately skewed impressions of the worst people among a candidate's supporters doesn't really prove anything.
If you look for proof Obama/Clinton supporters are jerks, you will always find something, but this doesn't necessarily prove anything. This is even more true when the sample is replies to an article which is picking a fight.
It even goads feminists into making racially charged comments as if sexism makes this okay.
Neither Obama nor Clinton can be defined soley by their worst supporters, nor even by their biggest campaign gaffes. Instead, one has to look for real, substantiated patterns, actual policy and voting records.
And at this point, no matter what, a Democrat will be better than Republican in the White House. I wish Salon wrote more about that, and the abuses of the current occupant, instead of trolling the readership.

With all the wrangling going on in this campaign between Clinton, Obama and their supporters, there's only one conclusion to come to:
John McCain will win the election hands down and you'll all have 4 more years of the Bush policies....and you'll have no one to blame but yourselves!

I believe in equal rights for women and am voting for Obama. I too will not vote for Hillary should she steal the nomination. Not all feminists are Hillary supporters and talk down to people. Just leveling the playing field here for you.
