As a mother in her 40s, I found the idea of a bestseller called "How Not to Look Old" appalling. That didn't keep me from buying it.

  • How TO look old

    I am watching the much-beloved 1995 Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth (mmm) and the older women in those white diaphanous bonnets and girly puff sleeves, talk about looking old!

    Today's older women look better in a loose untucked denim shirt circa 1992 and jeans and a "just there" "no fuss" short hairdo, and a t-shirt with a scottie dog on it than those older women in those frillly bonnets and puffy sleeves.
