It's a vegan manifesto masquerading as a diet fad. But the only thing this weight-loss book will help you lose is self-esteem.

    Sorry. Just can't see how that's humorous instead of abusive.

    I've never been on a "diet" (and never been more than about 15 lbs overweight--lost it by simply cutting out sugared soda and walking more), so I can't say what a good diet book is. Perhaps a vegan diet could be healthy, but it would take an enormous amount of consultation with a qualified nutritionist to make sure it had enough of certain nutrients in it, particularly calcium, protein, and iron.
