Why the so called stimulas package wont work...
Here is a situation where the package to send our money back to us (and yes, they will tax us on the money we are paid from our taxes, so we will pay in taxes) they are working on in Washington will not work.
If I were in this kind of credit card debt (and thankfully we got rid of that a couple of years ago.) we would use the check we got from government to pay down our credit card debt.
Freeze your cards.. truly, put them in each a ziplock and fill it with water, put that in the freezer for a while and then you can remove the ziplock bag. It's a good conversation piece. If you need them, you can thaw them but they take a long time and you can think about if you really need that book (or something else) for a while while it sits on the counter waiting. (you can't microwave them, I think bad things happen (Do the folks from Mythbusters read these.) I did this after reading it in a book and it caused me to slow down my spending and consider paying cash or waiting until I had the cash.
