i agree but...
As a Yoga teacher, I think I get the "idea" behind partner yoga. That is, can you take this sense of focus and clarity from your individual yoga practice into interactions with others. That makes sense to me. That being said however, I will never offer partner yoga to my students. I am aware of the the fact that they pay for my class because they are seeking an opportunity for a quiet, meditative practice. This is "sacred" to them. To throw in a mini-"cocktail party" in the midst of a yoga class is an intrusion, as I see it.
Also, asking a Indian Yogi guru about partner yoga is kind of beside the point, since most of American yoga is so un-Indian anyway (no matter how much your teacher tries to infuse it with chanting and dedications to Ganesh).
