After a close-up of her face appeared on the Drudge Report, Hillary Clinton was found guilty of -- horrors! -- aging.

  • The fat drug-addled gasbag Limbaugh is criticizing others' looks?

First the gelatinous blob Limbaugh made fun of Chelsea Clinton's looks, despite the fact that she was only a young girl at the time, and despite the fact the Limbaugh himself looked like Jabba the Hutt's fatter brother. Now El Blimpo is criticizing Hillary Clinton's looks? If that buffoon manages to survive to age 60, he's going to look like a pile of brie left too long in the sun.

Should Hillary Clinton become the Democratic nominee, watch as the lid is ripped off the id of the GOP's innate misogyny like a festering pimple which finally pops.

  • Judging a candidate by his appearance

was what put Warren Harding in office. He was tall, broad shouldered, had a handsome head of hair with a little distinguished gray, and had a wonderful baritone speaking voice. And we all know how well that predicted his success as President.

  • Nulla Salles

I thought the title of this article was more a reference to the coined phrase driving while black. Which I don't think was a reference to the worst movie of all time, esp. since I don't even know what movie it is you are refereing to so it's obviously not a part of most people's pop consciousness.

    I'm just sayin'

  • They're ALL old people!

Who CARES if they are old looking. What matters is if they can do the job or not.

For the record though, Rush looks a LOT younger than Hillary does, no matter what picture you're looking at.

And Obama looks younger than ALL the other candidates running for President!

  • "It's undoubtedly boring and hackneyed and feminaz-y to suggest that a woman in the public eye cannot win."

Come on -- do you really believe this? After what you've just described, you REALLY think that Hilary or any woman has any shot whatsoever of becoming president, in THIS culture?

I'd love to believe we're advanced enough to elect a woman, but if it happens in my lifetime (I'm 38) it will be the single most stunning event I have ever witnessed.

  • Dayum!

Just how old do you suppose she is gonna get?

  • Well Said!

I hope this woman wipes the floor with the rest of them. I can't think of one of the whole bunch who has her intelligence, toughness or insight into the country's problems. And they're worrying about her wrinkles? Grow up boys and girls.

  • Rush?

The appearance of perfection and good health; all of that ties into the perception of mental acuity, stamina...

    Rush should know.

  • Really? Your biggest concern?

I'd love to believe we're advanced enough to elect a woman, but if it happens in my lifetime (I'm 38) it will be the single most stunning event I have ever witnessed.

The single most stunning event in my lifetime would be to see the US turn away from the brink of crypto-fascism/socialism it is now heading into thanks to the Clintons and Bushes.

I guess some of us are MORE SHALLOW and elect people based on whether they have a penis or a vagina in their pants.

  • Fat Pot calling the Kettle what?

Ok, I usually try to make a more "intellectual" comment.

But it gets my goat every time that you have these Fat, wrinkled, jowled, receding-hair, comb-over ridden, baggy-eyed, saggy-skinned, ill-fitted, cheap-suited, old-azz white men being critical of a female politician's appearance.

    Are you kidding me?

Fat-headed Rush Limbaugh is the last person who needs to be commenting on someone's appearance and Matt Druge can "shut-it" as well.

If looks were a determining factor for being President, then this country would be back to step 1, finding a leader....just take a look at our present gov't leaders....surely attractiveness is not a prerequisite for the men....and it shouldn't be one for the women either.

*Ugh* We are our own worst enemy. We deserve whatever we get....I can only hope that John Q Public has more sense and a greater sense of responsibility than to listen to meathead pundits and blabber-mouths that just like to hear themselves talk and get some attention.

*Ugh* just utter disgust with these azzes.

Wrinkles and crowsfeet are the very least of our dang problems in this country....

  • Socialism, Brightstar?

The fascism part of your message, yes. But socialism? Look around you, man. We're privatizing every public service. We've even privatized the military, and now the wealthy in California are privatizing the firefighting services.

Your "socialism" looks a lot like rampant capitalism.

  • Why bash Edwards?

I really enjoyed this article, and thought it was spot on- until the jab at Edwards. I would love to have a female president, or an African American one. But the truth is, we need to choose the candidate who has the best plan for our country - and have the best chance of winning against the Republicans. The clear winner on both counts is Edwards.

And people - Edwards is not that young! He's 54....Bill Clinton was 46 when he was elected. Come on. He's also no more "shellacked" than any other candidate, including Hillary most of the time. This crap about Edwards' hair is ridiculous.

Edwards is the most genuine candidate we've seen in a long, long time. Talking about his hair and appearance instead of his policy proposals, background, vision, his work to fight poverty since 2004, and his education (worked his way through state universities for both undergrad and law school, not as a legacy at Yale thank you very much) is every bit as shallow and unfair as what is being done to Hillary and Obama.

  • Gratuitous Snipe at Edwards

I agree with those above who were bothered by the gratuitous closing snipe at Edwards. I'm not sure why the supposedly liberal (ha!) media seem so invested in trivializing his candidacy, to the extent that they even cover his campaign at all. I get sick of hearing about that $400 haircut from the RNC/Faux News/Limbot echo chamber. So, the guy is rich, like all the other candidates. I suppose these same folks think that no Republican candidate has ever paid ridiculous sums of money to have a top-notch professional come to THEM to provide them a service? Give me a break. It's reminiscent of the "didn't inhale" so-called joke that the same cabal repeated ceaselessly to smear Clinton. A populace given to sound bites seemingly ate this strategy up. Same with Edwards. I can see why the true wingnut echo chamber outlets would perpetuate with this, but why do the other, supposedly more independent outlets do the same? I think the powers-that-be are too frightened that Edwards actually has a shot to win a general election.
