  • Getting rid of Dad means getting rid of GRANDPARENTS

    I had one more thought. Basically, old people are living much longer. So that makes it easier to be a single mom. B/c there is grandma and grandpa to pitch in.

    In fact, I see that all the time with girls who OOPS got pregnant and SURPRISE end up alone with their babies. They are basically replacing child care and income by mooching on their parents.

    Fine so far. The problem?

    These kids have only one set of Grandparents. And their own kids will NOT HAVE ANY GRANDPARENTS -- JUST GRANDMA.

    When I think of that I think that it is truly sad. And there is a lot of evidence that grandparents make a big difference in child-rearing. I think this is a real problem for this KNOCK YOURSELF UP, NO MAN NO PROBLEM approach.
