    make a documentary a la the Cats of Mirikitani

    film the process, then show the film on the indy circuit.

    (yeah, it's different, the Mirikitani guy wasn't an addict or drunk)

    so instead it's like the Cats of Mirikitani meets Celebrity Rehab.

    seriously tho, don't feel bad 'bout doing what you have to do to get this guy out of your life. And be safe about it.
