Letters to the Editor

This letter is associated with the following article:
To disguise a neighbor's less-than-pristine house, she planted a hedge on the other person's land!
  • Don't let her get away with it

Why should you let it go? No, don't let it go. Don't let her get away with this outrageous behavior. Who does she think she is?

Could she plant so much as a daisy in the front yard of a millionaire's house? Would she dare to do it, if the owners weren't sick, old and frail? Would she even do it if they were white? How is planting oleanders in someone's front yard any different than changing their furniture when they are not at home? What's next? Will she teach your children how to behave?

I am not a vengeful person, but don't turn the other cheek to this woman. If somebody cuts the line, don't let it go. If somebody is an obnoxious, intolerant bastard, don't let it go. They get to be such people because people let them get away with this kind of behavior all the time. They are bigots, they are entitled, selfish bullies. If you have the time and the commitment, plant kudzus or oleanders in your neighbor's front yard. Somebody needs to return the favor. Please give this woman what she deserves: a taste of her own medicine.
