From one existential artist to another
Nobody cares. They are all busy with their own interpretations of the world. Follow Cary's advice, find a way to be yourself in the midst of the crowd and stop worrying about it.
You exist, so make art. Whether people "get it" or not is irrelevant and outside your control. People invent their own stories in order to make it through life and often what they "get" is not what you had imagined or intended. This is neither a good, nor a bad thing.
To paraphrase Zoroaster, "If you do not make art, you are destined to wake up one morning and find that 'Dog' is dead and you have become a giant cockroach. Is that really what you want?"
