Ugh
This is why I've switched to reading Dan Savage. Cary is boring and pretentious. I actually cringed when I read the line "So, basically, um, I'm a married heterosexual white man in my 50s who spent five years hiding under my desk at Chevron. So I dunno. That boss of yours should lay off." This is the kind of stuff you DELETE before you hit the "publish" or "send" or whatever button.
