Wait What?
The sister has a husband who travels a lot. She has kids. Why isn't her damned husband taking care of her? Its not Doctor Lucky's job to do that. The husband should be seriously looking at his occupation and make the necessary changes so he can be a husband and not a wandering source of income.
As for mom - the good doctor has to ask himself if he wants to immerse himself in that hell again. No one in his family has time to be a full time carer. I know people who are not in demanding professions who have had to stop working to do that. If he is a doctor, he can afford to front some services to help mom out. However, I doubt she is so decrepit that she is incapable of taking care of herself. She has a responsibility, too.
Doctor Lucky's first job is to take care of his kid, his second job is his marriage, his third job is teaching, and whatever time he has free is for the other stuff.
