someone suggested getting a dog so you'd get unconditional love, but seriously say get a dog for a different reason: a cute dog is a people magnet!
I have a puppy and when we walk her in the evening, SO many people stop and talk and pet her. I told my husband if anyone ever says they need to meet people, from now on I'll tell them to get a dog. If I was single, I'd be walking that pup 5 times a day! I can not tell you how many handsome young people stopped to pet my dog!
