    You made the assumption of being an earnest screw-up. And while it is possible the potential sister in law may want to emulate LW's togetherness, particularly since she is 20 and probably has no role models ( or a whole lot of experience with wedding etiquette), she could be a total nut-ball drama queen who likes creating "situations" and conflict.
