I was betrayed by people I trusted

I thought they were my friends, but they've been laughing at me all this time!

    we've all been there, sister

Evryone has their "people are mean and suck" tale. And anyone who hasn't been betrayed or effed over, either in a personal or business situation, just isn't getting out there. College, nor your "friends" there, does not define you. And Facebook sure as hell doesn't. The brilliance of graduating early and getting free of these fakers, is that you get to turn the page and reinvent. You've learned from this experience. You never have to deal with those bastards again. You will choose you company more wisely. You have recognized your naivete, which you now know makes you more vulnerable. And you have gotten counselling. There is nothing else to be gleaned from this experience.

So what's the next chapter? What kind of life do you want to live? What kind of people do you want to surround yourself with? Research some GLBT tolerant places - they aren't all in major urban areas where everyone is a jaded hardass. Someone will find your naivete and earnestness charming. Much love.
