imagination
I can imagine a Salon party filled with us... the posters, the ones who publish here often, especially in Cary's section. We'd dutifully wear our nametags with our "real" Salon names. We'd be laughing and see a disconnect from word to skin. It would be fun, really funny too. Can you imagine this?
I keep trying to think of something, anything, I can write in about so that I can hear what this community of voices has to say. Or like Talking Heads say, "Watch out, you might get what you're after..." b/c sometimes these posts really let people have it! (David Byrne, geesh, I keep dating myself.)
OK, no idea where I was going with that....maybe to Vegas? Yikes, but I do think this kind of stuff doesn't go away. That you, LW, have to find some sort of way, (nicely outlined by the many posts here!) to feed this need to create and be understood, to feel passion and intensity. It is true you can't expect your guy to be your everything. However, if he's really just 'exisiting' and gaming maybe he's too dull for you? He deserves at least this: say these things TO him, now.
Also know that 'tis true, the grass just appears to be greener. If you do dabble, stay away from rock stars, ahem.
No sense in wasting time Dear LW, imagine all the interesting stuff ahead, with or without your beau! Good luck.
