Deering
I'm tired of hearing that "so many seniors grew up during the depression"! I think, not so much. The depression was from 1930 to 1939. This guy was of an age to be sent to the Vietnam war. He was born during WWII or very shortly thereafter (indeed, a baby boomer). My own father was born in 1937. He was 3 years old when it was over, and he is nearly 70. I think the clue here is WWII vets. We are losing them at what, 1,000 per day? They are the people who grew up or were young adults during the depression (people my 93 year old grandmother's age). So if we could just dump that cliche? They're sick, something is wrong with them, that is why they hoard and do other crazy things. Not because they grew up during some period or other in time (which the vast majority of them are too young to have experienced).
