duh
dont listen to anyone who is being negative.
keep your job and start a label and start making music.
keep your job also because studio equipment is not always cheap (but once you have decent monitor speakers, soundcard and computer, you can make industrial - especially powernoise he he he (just take drum loop and distort the crap out of it).
learn a piece of software like cubase or ableton live. - ableton live has a great tutorial.
have fun - go home from work and produce music - you will have a rewarding fun hobby that could get you some fun recognition in a few years and will keep you from going crazy at your job.
do it or you will always look back and regret that you didnt try. and dont worry about being laughed at - if you are goth - you are already being laughed at ;)
