I'm a small-town girl dreaming of the big-city lights

Should I get married and give up my dreams, or break my engagement, leave this two-bit town and try to live the life I want?

Option 2!! (and why Option 3 won't work)

You can do it. Even if you can't sell or rent your house right away, you can do it. Do you have a few hundred dollars? There's your gas money for the journey and a deposit on an apartment. Now, go get another secretary job. You may also have to wait tables at night. Luckily, this is where you will meet all of your like-minded friends. They will all be trying to finish a degree or decide what they want to do with their lives. They will be very fun. They may drink too much, so you'll want to watch out for that.

Option 3 won't work because no matter what people only become more of who they are as time passes. Even if you try really, really hard. People don't change.

Oh yeah - you will cry sometimes and wonder why you did this. But then in about a day or so you'll remember. And you will be so thankful you might feel like your heart could explode.

    Good luck! GO!
