I smell a Narcissist...
That sickly sweet aroma of "too good to be true"? That's what they smell like, at first anyway. Hope he doesn't come back to string you along some more, and savor the memory of that great illusion. Don't let him in if you find him on your doorstep! Do a little research on what it's like to be romanced by a Narcissist so you'll see the next one coming, and eventually you'll find someone real.
